How big is God?

Did you ever wonder just how big God is? I was reading Jeremiah 31:35 & it made me stop & think.
God's Message, from the God who lights up the day with sun and brightens the night with moon and stars,Who whips the ocean into a billowy froth, whose name is God-of-the-Angel-Armies:
... and this reminded me of a song I learned at a YCF conference in California in 1973.

Blackwood Brothers sing How Big is God.
Here are the lyrics
Though man may strive to go beyond the reach of space
To crawl beyond the distant shim'ring stars
This world's a room so small within my Master's house
The open sky's but a portion of His yard

How big is God? How big and wide His vast domain
To try and tell, these lips can only start
He's big enough to rule His mighty universe
Yet small enough to live within my heart

As winter's chill may cause the tiny seed to fall
To lie asleep till waked by summer's rain
The heart grown cold will warm and throb with life anew
The Master's touch will bring the glow again

Just think - Our awesome God is big enough to not only to create it but to rule this mighty universe & still small enough to live within my heart!

A Thanksgiving Psalm (Psalm 100)
1-2 On your feet now—applaud God! Bring a gift of laughter,
sing yourselves into his presence.

3 Know this: God is God, and God, God.
He made us; we didn't make him.
We're his people, his well-tended sheep.

4 Enter with the password: "Thank you!"
Make yourselves at home, talking praise.
Thank him. Worship him.

5 For God is sheer beauty,
all-generous in love,
loyal always and ever.

Joy - Contagious JOY!!

I did a Bible Study by Patsy Clairmont called Contagious Joy. I want to share my trinkets to remind us of the lessons they hold for us. So the next time you see these items... you may remember these lessons

1 Glasses
These serve as a reminder that you need never be trapped in a joyless life. Joy is yours. Sometimes all you have to do is ask the Lord to help you see it.

2. A Makeup Brush
God offers to trade all our ashes for beauty. This transformation is better than any beauty treatment. Joy works its miracles on our lives from the inside out, and the results are lovely to behold!

3. A Star
Jesus is indeed our greatest reason for rejoicing. Hs birth was heralded by good tidings of great joy. Our trinket for the week is a star; like the Bethlehem star that first bore witness to the most joyful tidings ever heard.

4. An Eraser
When it comes to joy, the Lord should be our focus. He’s our source of joy. Our trinket reminds us of how everything else fades away in His presence.

5. A Stone
We are told that if we won’t give praise to the Lord, then the rocks will take over and do it for us! Our trinket this week is a stone. Let it remind you to lift up your voice in joyful song!

6. A Drum
Shouts of joy are like the thrumming of a marching band heard in the distance. A drum will be your instrument of praise as you join with other believers in joyful praise.

7. A Raindrop
Joy can be a constant in our lives, no matter what circumstances and emotions might be at work. Just as a sun shower sets raindrops to sparkling, the storms in our lives can be brightened by joy’s presence.

8. A Wiffle Ball.
Everything that comes our way has a purpose. We’re to count it all joy, even when life throws us a curve, so our trinket this week will be a waffle ball. It can remind you of batting practice, when everything that is pitched our way becomes a chance to learn and grow and strengthen our game.

9. A Bolster Pillow
Aw we’re finding ways to rejoice with one another this week, plunk up your pillow and plunk it down. It’ll remind you that we’re all part of a community that God put together to bolster one another’s faith and to rejoice together in Him.

10. A Balloon
Joy makes everything it’s paired with better! Though joy may not seem a great source of strength, its lifting effect makes us stronger. Just as balloons transform anything ordinary into a celebration, joy lifts our hearts and transforms our lives.

11. A Birthday Candle
Joy lends its radiance to the life of each believer. Joy will make you shine forth like the sun itself when the Lord is with you.

12. A Welcome Mat
Our joy will be complete when we see our Lord face-to-face. He’s preparing a place for us even now. When we are welcomed into the presence of the Lord one day, we’ll know joy in its fullest, most complete sense.

Choose JOY!
... Enjoy

Reap what you sow...

So true!!! You plant a tulip bulb in the fall and you get a tulip in the spring. This principle comes from God's word.

Galatians 6:7

7-8 Don't be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he'll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God's Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life. The Message (MSG)

We use God's principle in farming, with our finances (I will share Dave Ramsey's rant a bit later), with relationships & yes... even with our health.

Proper nutrition and a healthy lifestyle can help prevent health issues in the future. Starting today, make an investment in yourself.
